How to Setup Cricut Mug Press?

Setting up your Cricut Mug Press is the first step before you can start designing your own customized mugs. The setup process seems easier, even for those who are new to Cricut. 

But, before you start the setup, check the condition of the press and the temperature settings. Ensure that you have all the necessary safety gear, like heat-resistant gloves, and that you are using the Cricut-approved mugs only. You must also check whether the Design Space app installed on your computer system is up to date. 

Here’s what you need to do to get started with Mug Press setup:  

  • Open the Design Space software on your computer.

  • On the top-left side of the screen, click the three lines. 

  • Now, choose “New Machine Setup.”

  • After that, select Heat Press.

  • Click on Cricut Mug Press.

  • Follow the instructions in the Prepare Workspace screen.

  • Click on the right arrow icon.

  • Press the power button on your machine, and then click the arrow.

  • Click Continue. 

  • Check the box next to terms and conditions. 

  • Click on the Activate button. 

  • A firmware update will begin. 

  • When the update is complete, disconnect the USB cable.

  • Click the green “Get Started” button. 

The setup is complete. You can start using the Mug Press and create customized mugs.
